Piers Morgan's harsh message to Duchess Meghan: "Go back to America"

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently garnered a heap of criticism for spending over $4 million of taxpayer’s money on their private home renovations.

Later, the royal couple copped more backlash for deciding to keep their son’s christening a private ceremony.

Now, the Duchess of Sussex has received even more criticism after it was revealed royal protection officers prohibited members of the public from taking photographs of her when she attended Wimbledon last week, alongside two pals from the U.S.

Insiders told Mail Online the Duchess wanted to “engage with people rather than camera phones".

However, one of the UK’s loudest critics, Piers Morgan, did not take too kindly to the “ridiculous” matters and has gone on a vicious rant on his breakfast TV show Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.

“The royal box at Wimbledon with the world’s cameras beamed on their heads,” the former tabloid journalist remarked.

“If you want to be private don’t go to the royal box at Wimbledon. It’s a complete joke.”

Morgan added that both Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan need to “work out” whether they want to be public people or private.

“You go to Wimbledon on your free tickets, in the royal box, the best seats in the house, and you take your two bezzies [best friends], and they sit there next to you and they’re getting free seats in the best place in the house,” he criticised.

“You’re public people. All of you. In that moment you’re public people. Stop your squealing about privacy. We don’t want to hear it.”

The morning show host said the Duchess of Sussex should “go back to America” if she wanted privacy.

“If you want to be private go back to America and live privately. It’s pretty straightforward,” he ranted.

“She doesn’t want to be a public figure in the royal family, go back to America.”
