Missing actress found dead at just 43
American actress Lindsey Erin Pearlman has been found dead days after she was reported missing.
Los Angeles investigators called on the public to help find the 43-year-old after she was last seen at around noon on February 13.
Her body was found on Friday morning when officers responded to a call for a death investigation in the Hollywood area, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
“The L.A. County Coroner’s Office has since confirmed the individual to be Lindsey Erin Pearlman. The cause of death will be determined by the coroner,” the department said in a statement on Friday.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are also under investigation.
Ms Pearlman had roles in several TV shows, including General Hospital, American Housewife, Chicago Justice and the TV version of The Purge.
She also had extensive theatre experience in her hometown of Chicago.
Tributes to the actress have begun to flow online, including from fellow actors and others who worked with her.

“Lindsey Pearlman was terrific on @GeneralHospital and we are saddened to hear of this tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family and friends,” Frank Valentini, an executive producer on General Hospital, wrote on Twitter.
“I echo Frank’s sentiments. Very sad,” General Hospital actress Cassandra James wrote.
“This is how I will remember Lindsey Pearlman. Effortlessly beautiful and talented. Hilarious. Compassionate. Unapologetic,” actress Lynn Chen tweeted.
“She lit up every room. She listened intently on stage and off. She so loved animals. I am sorry to her family and all the communities who deeply adored her.”
Santé d’Or, an animal rescue centre, also shared a tribute to Ms Pearlman, who had been a volunteer at the shelter.
“Unfortunately this isn’t the update we wanted to make. We were devastated to learn police found a body this morning that was later determined to be Lindsey Pearlman,” the organisation wrote on Friday.
“We don’t have any information to share at the moment, but we wanted to thank everyone who did their part to help look for Lindsey. Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and respect their privacy during this time.”
