“I hope they don’t get to us!”: Zara and Mike Tindall admit to watching The Crown

Fans of the Netflix British drama The Crown have always wondered whether or not any of the British Royal family have been watching it.

After all, the show chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s up until modern times.

With only two seasons behind the show, it has captured hearts due to the way the British Royal family have been portrayed.

Princess Eugenie told HELLO! she'd seen a couple of episodes, and was reportedly overheard at a party saying her "granny" (the Queen) "really likes" the show.

However, in a new interview with The Telegraph, Princess Anne’s daughter Zara has confirmed that her and her husband Mike are fans of the show, but are a bit apprehensive if the show gets to the current members of the royal family.

"I hope they don't get to us," Zara explained to interviewer Elizabeth Day.

"It would be mortifying to think how people perceive you."

However, Mike Tindall is a huge fan of Claire Foy’s portrayal of Her Majesty.

"She's brilliant, the one who plays the Queen. I think it's a great show in terms of how they delivered it," the former England footballer said.

There’s no word yet on whether or not the show will get to the current members of the royal family just yet, but with season three quickly approaching, it’s looking more and more likely by the day.
