Old iPhones about to become obsolete
If you’re the owner of an iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or an iPad 4, we have some bad news for you.
Apple has confirmed its new operating system update will effectively make the device obsolete.
The iOS11 software update will run only on devices with a 64-bit processor, meaning it won’t be compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPad 4 which feature 32 bit processors.
While the phone will still work, users will no longer be able to download the latest apps or security upgrades.
