The Aussie star set to perform at the Queen's birthday party

The Queen turns 92 next month and plans for her birthday bash are already underway.

Over the years, some of the biggest stars in the world have taken to the stage to entertain Her Majesty and this year is no different.

The Queen has requested one Australian star in particular to take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 21. And it is none other than pop royalty Kylie Minogue.

Kylie is no stranger to the monarchy, receiving the Britain-Australia Society Award from Prince Philip back in 2017.

"I am delighted to accept this award from the Britain-Australia Society," Kylie said outside Windsor Castle on the day.

"I'm a proud 'Aussie' but Britain has a very strong place in my heart having lived and worked here for many years."

"The society does a wonderful job to promote the rich cultural ties between the two countries and I am honoured to be recognised by them in this way."

Kylie will be joined by a diverse line-up of entertainers, including Sir Tom Jones, Sting and Shaggy (who are releasing an album together), teen singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, UK garage star Craig David and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
