Sir Paul McCartney helps concertgoer propose during Aussie show

On Saturday night, Sir Paul McCartney performed his first Australian show since 1993 in Perth.

The music icon didn’t disappoint as he sung man of his most famous hits as part of his One On One World Tour.

However, a spontaneous surprise made the 20,000 fans packed inside the stadium admire the 75-year-old musician even more.

Towards the end of the show, Paul noticed a man in the crowd holding a large sign that said, “Can I propose to my love on stage?”

The singer then invited the fan, named Martin, on stage accompanied by his girlfriend, Saya.

Paul then asked Martin, “Are you going to do this thing? You got a ring?”

Martin then explained to the crowd why this concert was sentimental to his love.

“We met ten years ago on a Contiki tour in England, and I thought at the end of the tour 'She listens to a lot of The Beatles'.”

Martin then knelt down on one knee and said, “I know now that I have the world's biggest Beatles fan, and it would do me an honour, Saya, if you would take my hand in marriage. Will you marry me?”

Feeling overwhelmed with joy, Saya accepted the proposal and the newly engaged couple shared a three-way hug with Paul.

The crowd were delighted by the special proposal and were cheering and clapping

Paul then gifted the couple a jacked signed with his autograph.

The singer is set to perform five more shows in Australia in the coming weeks, with the next show occurring in Melbourne on Tuesday night.
