Policeman dances with children at One Love Manchester benefit concert

In the wake of the tragic, cowardly act of terrorism targeting innocent concert-goers in Manchester, the people of the UK’s third-largest city have proven just how strong and resilient they are.

More than 60,000 people gathered at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground to raise funds and come together in support of the victims of the Manchester Arena attack, with performances from such stars as Robbie Williams, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus and, making a brave return to the city she is now inextricably tied to, Ariana Grande.

In what is perhaps the most poignant footage of the concert, a policeman has been filmed dancing hand-in-hand with children during a performance by Justin Bieber, easing the tension surrounding the massive security presence at the concert.

Concertgoers and those watching on television took to social media to praise the officer’s actions. “The real spirit of Manchester,” one Twitter user wrote. “There is so much hope and love in this moment,” wrote another. “Wonderful.”

Tell us in the comments below, will you be tuning in to watch the concert tonight on Channel 9?
