Paul McCartney’s exciting news

Paul McCartney has said that he is working on a new album with the producer who worked with Adele on her hit “Hello”.

During a radio interview, Paul revealed he was “in the middle” of the new album which will be his first since 2013.

Paul will be working with American producer Greg Kurstin, who co-wrote “Hello” which was the ballad that catapulted Adele’s latest album into commercial success.

Greg has also worked extensively with Pop singer Sia and alternative rock legend Beck.

In the BBC Radio 6 Music interview, the 74-year-old musician explained his fears of the upcoming album.

"My only worry is people are going to go, 'Oh, there's Paul going with the flavour of the month,'" he said.

"I suppose you always think the worst of it. But he's a great guy," Paul said, describing himself as "beavering away, doing what I love to do."

After a year of key rock legends such as David Bowie and Prince dying, Paul said he was not dwelling on how he will be remembered.

Paul McCartney did recall fellow Beatle John Lennon, who was murdered in 1980, asking him for reassurance of his legacy/

“It was funny, you know -- you wouldn't think John would even have a remote bit of insecurity about it. But I think people do. You think, what are they going to say? Are they going to take your worst reviews... or take your best stuff?”

"Luckily it won't matter because I won't be here."
