Nicole Kidman looks dazzling on the red carpet at 51

Aussie actress Nicole Kidman has proven that she is a force to reckon with at the Hollywood Film Awards this week.

It was an emotional night for the 51-year-old actress who wiped tears away as she was honoured with the Hollywood Career Achievement Award.

Kidman dazzled on the red carpet in a spaghetti strap Dior gown.

The actress paired the tie-dye print dress from Christian Dior’s Spring 2019 collection with her natural beachy waves.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight prior to the awards show, Kidman recalled the passion she had to become an actress while growing up.

“I just always wanted to act since I was a little girl — always.”

“It wasn’t where or how, it was more just I needed to. I went to drama school and I continued on the path and it’s led me to the most wonderful places and it’s given me so much joy.”

Kidman, who was escorted to the stage by her proud husband Keith Urban, received the honour for her impressive showreel and her support of independent filmmakers through her production company, Blossom Films.

Taking to the stage while dabbing her tears away, Kidman said: “I get emotional these days, so much more than I used to.”

After thanking her professional team that has made her career possible, Kidman made a special tribute to her husband.

"Then I met the man who I love, the love of my life, Keith,” she said.

Prior to the award show, Kidman also said she hoped to “carve a path” for her daughters, Sunday and Faith.

“I grew up with a very opinionated, strong mother who was very educated and who wanted her girls — there’s two of us in the family, I have a sister — to have opportunities and I suppose that’s the great thing, to create other opportunities for other women and for the next generation,” she told ET.

“(This award) is incredibly validating but I also want to keep going, I want to keep throwing my support and my voice behind the things I’m passionate about.”

She added, “It’s almost like forward momentum.”

Kidman wasn’t the only Aussie to receive industry recognition during the night with Hugh Jackman receiving the Actor award for his role in The Front Runner.
