Must-see movies: Top 5 movies for the grandkids
If you're taking care of your grandchildren, we don't blame you if you're starting to run out of ideas on how to keep them entertained.
Trips to the cinema have always been a great idea to fill in hours, plus the kids love a day out. We've picked out the top five kids movies - sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
1. House of Magic
Seeking shelter from a storm, an abandoned young cat Thunder sneaks into a mysterious mansion owned by a retired magician. Lawrence the magician shares his fairy-tale world with many animals and a dazzling array of gizmos, capable of whipping up breakfast while singing and dancing.
2. Boxtrolls
Based on the book series 'Here be Monsters' by Alan Snow, Box Trolls is centred around a young boy trying to figure out who he is and what he wants to be.
3. Beauty and the Beast
The classic Beauty and the Beast is always a favourite for young and old. The story is centred around Belle, a bright young woman who rescues her father after he is trapped by a Beast. With the help of the castle's singing and dancing staff, she sees beneath the Beast's hard and tempremental exterior and discovers his gentle heart.
4. Planes: Fire and Rescue
Planes: Fire and Rescue is a new comedy adventure all about second chances, team effort and what it takes to become a true hero. When world famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting.
5. The Maze Runner
The Maze Runner is predominately aimed at older kids. The story revolved around Thomas, a young boy who wakes up in a huge maze, unsure of how he got there. He is surrounded by other boys and together they try to find a way out, and struggle to escape.
