First pictures from the set of Love Actually sequel

Ever since a Love Actually sequel was announced last month, fans of the 2013 Christmas movie have been on tenterhooks.

Filming for the 10-minute short film titled, Red Nose Day Actually, has already begun and pictures from the shoot show all your favourite characters are back.

Martine McCutcheon and Hugh Grant have reunited as their iconic Love Actually characters Natalie and David. Hugh will reprise his role as the loveable British Prime Minister, with the film’s director Emma Freud confirming the couple are still together.

She captured a photo of Martine in front of the camera on Twitter with the caption: “Our pm is still married. And she's still lovely. #rednosedayactually"

Sadly, Emma Thompson decided not to take part in the sequel in light of her friend Alan Rickman's death last year.

However, the reboot will see most stars return including Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson.

Red Nose Day airs on BBC One in the UK on March 24.
