The sweet “thank you” card Prince William and Kate have sent to royal fans

It’s fair to say it’s been a pretty busy time for the royal family over the past few months with babies, birthdays and weddings all taking precedence on the royal calendar.

Just weeks after her new baby brother Prince Louis was born on April 23, Princess Charlotte celebrated her 3rd birthday on May 2.

As a thank you for all the birthday messages from well-wishers, her proud parents Prince William and Kate have shown their appreciation by sending royal fans an adorable “thank you” card.

Adorning the cover of the card is a photo of Princess Charlotte on her first day at nursery school earlier this year, which was taken by her mother Kate, standing on the steps of Kensington Palace before making her way to Willcocks Nursery School in London.

The thank you note from Prince William and Kate inside the card reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for so kindly writing as you did to Princess Charlotte on the occasion of her third birthday.

“This was most thoughtful of you, and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who you send their best wishes.”

It is a tradition of Prince William and Kate to send "thank you" cards to royal fans, and a lovely example of their good manners.

The royal couple also sent notes to well-wishers who congratulated them on their 7th wedding anniversary on April 29.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for the thoughtful message you so kindly sent on the occasion of their 7th wedding anniversary," the message in the card read.

The front of the card was illustrated with a photo of William and Kate taken during their 2016 tour of India and Bhutan, showing the pair in off-duty hiking clothes as they shared a warm embrace.
