Amazing optical illusion makes famous Van Gogh painting MOVE
A clever optical illusion has caused Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting to come alive. Not quite, but it truly does look like the sky is moving!
Viewers are asked to stare at the centre of the black and white swirls for a minimum of 10 seconds and then immediately stare at Van Gogh’s masterpiece.
The swirls in the painting begin to move and the painting appears to warp after staring into the swirls.
Experts say that the false impression of movement is caused by blinking and quick movements of the eye, some of which are so miniscule that the viewer doesn’t even realise they are making them.
