Beautiful photos celebrate childhood without technology

Looking through the photos in the gallery above, you’d be forgiven for thinking they were taken decades ago. You’ll find no iPads, smartphones, computers or other technological distractions in these family photos, taken by New Zealand mother Niki Boon.

The Boon family live on a 10-acre idyllic slice of Kiwi heaven, and for them, that’s enough. The unconventional Boon children “are unschooled and live without TV or modern electronic devices,” according to Niki’s website. “I believe my children are right where they belong, covered in mud, running and living through nature.”
