Artists turn grandkids’ drawings into jewellery

We all think our grandkids are talented – perhaps even the next Michelangelo – and now, you can turn their adorable works of art into a piece of treasured jewellery. A Turkish company called TasarımTakarım can take children’s sweet sketches and turn them into necklaces, bracelets and even cufflinks.

The business is the brainchild of artist Yasemin Erdin Tavukçu and goldsmith Özgür Karavit, who wanted to make a way for parents and grandparents to turn “timeless memories” into “wearable art objects.”

“When kids see the jewellery [they designed], they become so proud of themselves and feel very happy,” Tavukçu told the Huffington Post. “They feel so self-confident. They really believe that their art is loved and appreciated by others.”
