Hugh Grant sends Twitter message pleading with car thief

Poor Hugh Grant. The British actor got his car broken into on the weekend, where the thief stole many possessions, including his children’s medical cards.

The star went to Twitter to ask if he could at least get his script back, which had “many weeks worth of notes and ideas” on it.

Grant tweeted:

“In the unlikely chance that anyone knows who broke into my car tonight and stole my bag, please try and persuade them to at least return my script. Many weeks worth of notes and ideas. And perhaps my children’s medical cards. Coach Films ,Ealing St Mary's Ealing Green  W5 5EN*”

Many fans were shocked by the theft and offered suggestions.

One fan said: “That’s so terrible. They may ditch your bag once they realise there’s no immediate value- so keep an eye out in the area…”

Others suggested that the movie star search the local bins in order to see if the thief has thrown away the script once they’ve realised they can’t sell it.

One commenter pointed out the hilarity of the mental image of Hugh Grant searching through bins.

“Can you imagine Hugh Grant going through the bins!???”

Another agreed saying: “That’d hit the front pages!”

No word as of yet whether Grant has been able to retrieve his possessions after they were stolen. Fingers crossed he finds the script with all of his notes in it as well as his children’s medical cards.
