Child actor becomes police chief in town he filmed in

The child actor who starred in Jaws has become the police chief of the same town the movie was filmed.
Jonathan Searle played a small role in the popular movie in 1974 and almost 50 years later has funnily enough been named the police chief of Oak Bluffs, a town on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
Having been a member of the town’s police force since 1985, Searle was promoted as chief on May 16 following a 3-1 with two other candidates.
“I’m finding the whole thing quite funny myself!”
“I’m clearly elated and I’m humbled and honored to have been offered the position,” he told Vineyard Gazette.
“It’s something I’ve been working toward my whole career.”
